The G600DLX is really designed for people who are very chemically sensitive even to carbons. A better unit for paint is either the V600 or C600DLX because these units have a stronger carbon that is impregnated with potassium iodide to reduce paint fumes better. The V-series (V600, V614, V700, V714) has a medical grade HEPA plus 18 lbs of carbon where the C-DLX series (C600DLX or C700DLX) has a HEPA Barrier and 26 lbs of carbon.
If a person cannot tolerate carbon types very well, then the G series is a good option and will help with the fumes.
