Will a military HEGA added to a regular carbon filter be similar to using the superblend filter by itself? Airpura Military Cloth HEGA for Enhanced VOC Protection for 6-Series and 7-Series

I have the regular 3 inches carbon filter and it's not time to be changed yet. Thus I was wondering if I would need to replace the carbon filter to the superblend carbon filter to get better air clearing results of second hand cigarette smoke as the regular 3" carbon doesn't seem to be helping me much. Or should I opt to change to the superblend carbon and also add a military HEGA? I'd hate to change the carbon filter out as it's a new carbon but if I need the superblend then I am fine doing it if I can get relief. Thus my options would be keep the regular carbon filter and add a military HEGA if it will work similar 2) get just the superblend carbon filter & use by itself or 3) use the superblend carbon filter with a military HEGA. Barb, the options are all pretty pricey so I want to do what will work & not overkill & spend unnecessarily. I have been trying everything a lot of things to help the serious reactions I have from the second hand smoke from my neighbor & it's been somewhat of a financial drain. So if you could give me your honest suggestions, I would sincerely appreciate it very much. Thank you, maria

Hello Maria, It is a tough call for which is better. If it were I and the carbon isn't exhausted yet, I'd try the lest costly option of adding the MC to see if it is enough. It is a lower financial investment and may help. In the future, when the carbon is exhausted, I'd do the impregnated carbon though.
