Hello, Air purifiers in general do not draw a lot of current so they are energy efficient. However, some units are more efficient than others and also are Energy Star certified.
The Austin Air Bedroom Machine, although is not Energy Star certified, it only uses 135W on high. This is just slightly more than 2 - 60 W light bulb being on. Please keep in mind it is rare to run a unit on high 24 x7. Most likely one will run the unit on medium to low.
