Hello,
Everyone has different sensitivities. An aroma or odor that can cause headaches to one person may be considered a pleasant smell to others. For example, the scented cleaning wipes will give me a headache immediately, yet some people view this as a smell of 'clean'.
In short, yes a purifier or more specifically the filter in a purfier may cause a person to have a headache.
There are also different kinds of carbon especially for airpura. The F614 uses a carbon impregnated with potassium permanganate which can give some people headaches. We'd recommend swapping out the carbon in this unit for coconut shell carbon found in the R-units if you feel the unit is causing you issues.
Thank you,
