Hello, sorry to hear about the sour smell. Yes, humidity can sometimes cause carbon to have an unusual smell and to exhaust more quickly. In this case, I'd recommend contacting Field Controls directly because they will know better if this has been a common problem since they will have a larger scope than I. This is uncommon for my Field Control clients and I don't have anyone who has reported issues with the new filter set.
