Hello, Thank you for reaching out. We do carry the tar-barrier for the 400 series. It is $80.49 USD (as of 5/5/2025). Since we don't have it on the site yet because it is a newer item, please reach out directly via email (contactus@usairpurifiers.com) or phone (888-231-1463 ext 1), and we can just do a separate invoice for you.
This would be better than trying to cut the 600/700 tar barrier filters.
Lastly, they are intended to use instead of the standard prefilters and not in addition to the standard prefilters.
